Tagged and Fresco Pictures and a HTML question!

First, I've been tagged by my blogging buddy Dawn at Dawn's Daybreak to name 6 unspectacular things about myself.

Here they are:
1. I love peanut butter...probably too much.
2. I hate coconut...don't know why...just don't like it!
3. I'm scared of dogs...especially ones that bark.
4. I drink coffee in the morning and get a headache if I don't have one cup. Then I drink a cup again in the afternoon.
5. I was once escorted off the military base when I went to buy groceries for 3 violations. They were:

  • Talking on the cell phone while driving,(It didn't matter to the officer that my daughter was pregnant and I just HAD to answer the phone )

  • not having a current insurance card in the vehicle, (didn't matter that I had insurance...I didn't have PROOF)

  • speeding ( I was going 30 miles per hour in a 20 mile per hour zone).
There are no monetary fines to any of the above...they just won't let you buy groceries. But I can assure you I'm more careful now! LOL

6. And I know this one is going to be a shocker....I spend too much time on the computer. LOL I would like to pass this challenge on to:

Kelli at Sassy Southern Mom

Angel at Keeping up with John and Angel

Dot at Picket's Place

Janie at Southern Lagniappe

Brenda at Thebrendablog

Pat at Milli Fiori Favoriti

That was fun Dawn, thanks for tagging me!

Second, I wanted to thank Dot at Picket's Place for posting the directions on how to achieve the Fresco effect with your pictures. The three in my header are ones I took outside my home....I really love that effect. I then put them in a scrapbook layout and cropped it to be not so tall.

Now for the question: Does anyone have an idea how I can get rid of the pink lines on the edges of my blog? I don't want to change my layout again...since I seem to lose everything when I do. I am going to just change the banner every now and then!
Thanks in advance!

I love peanut butter too! Sometimes I eat it by the spoonful (no double dipping though!) I love my coffee too!

Hmm, kicked off a military base...you rebel you!

I meant to mention your header the other day. I have done that with a few pictures (thanks to Dot). It is a fun effect to play with.

take care,
Dawn

I love coconut so you can send yours to me!

To get rid of those pink lines, I think you have to get rid of your wallpaper--it's the background behind what SEEMS to be the background.

Unfortunately, that's the full extent of my knowledge! Hopefully, someone else will know.

Thanks, you've made my day; I love the "Fresco effect" on your photos (I think Penny @ Lavender Hill has it on her banner, too)! I thought it was something that had been created professionally; now I find it's something I can do! That's the best part of blogging, all the help and support everyone lends. Have a great day!

Hi Diane,

You little law breaker! That is too funny-hehe. I love your new header. Not sure if I can figure out what to do though.

Have a great day.

Sorry for the delete --now I will use spell check for my lousy typing ..lol!

Hi Diane

You are a rebel aren't you? LOL!!! I can just imagine how it felt being escorted off a military base...lol!

Fun thing about you! I'll take up the challenge soon -- I have to leave my daring baker assignment up for a couple days.

I don't know much about HTML so I'm sorry I can't help. I'm always afraid to change my blog layout and lose everything ...maybe with the new years I'll give it a new look.

Stay safe and sound from the hurricane! Praying for all in it's path.

Hugs, Pat

Your blog is adorable! Actually I'm sure it reflects the person sitting at the keyboard!
My hubby hates coconut and I love it!
I try sneaking it in under the radar, but he can taste, smell, detect it a mile away. I thinks it's the texture, cause he likes Coconut cocktails... a little rum helps too LOL! Your Q&A was soooo funny!!
The background stuff can become rocket science! I just built my blog, come take a peek. You can ask any questions there, if you'd like.

Have a *SWEET* Day!

Now, I love coconut, but don't really care for peanut butter. Isn't that funny.

I'm just waiting for the day I get escorted off base. I've been a military dependent my entire life, so you would think I knew the rules by now. It's just so HARD to drive that slow every where on base ;)

I hope you are safe from Gustav. It seems like you will get some of the winds, won't you. Hope nothing serious. Im just so sorry for the people who live in South La.

euuuh the smell of peanut butter alone makes me gag, I have to make my kiddos sandwiches with a paper towel across my nose!!! hahaha but then I eat Nutella from the jar so, too funny with the military base, I can imagine I would be like that too in the same situation
