A Pink Give A Way!

Beverly at How Sweet the Sound is hosting Pink Saturday. Please visit her for lots of pink inspirational posts!

Yesterday after taking my morning walk at the mall with my sister, I decided to make a quick trip to Dirt Cheap-a local salvage store. It is hard to make a 'quick' trip there....it is easy to spend half the day in there rummaging through their merchandise. Rarely do I leave empty handed and yesterday was no exception.

These garden tools were in a bin and were labeled $1.49 each. I don't know if you can tell by the picture, but they seem to be very sturdy and of good quality! They are stainless steel and have a label that states that profits go to breast cancer research.

I knew the minute I saw them that I would have to have both of them and that they would be featured in my pink Saturday post.

As I was typing this post, I just had another idea. Since there were so many available and they are so inexpensive, I would like to give away a set of these garden tools to thank those of you who visit and take the time to leave comments.

So, just leave a comment on this post, and I'll post the winner on Monday. Even if you aren't a gardener, I bet you know someone who is and would love a set of these pink tools!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Pink Saturday.

I love your new Cooper and Connor Valentine's header, Diane ... I remember that trip to the mall and the "train ride." The expressions on Cooper's sweet little face were priceless.

Those are the neatest pink garden tools and I'd love to win them for my little gardener Avery. Pink is her favorite color and she would love diggin' in the dirt with them.

I wish we had a good thrift store here. You always find the best stuff at yours!

They are so sweet and I am not much of a dig in the dirt girl but I like to take such implements and put them it little pots of flowers as a decoration. They look so sweet like someone will be along shortly to dig in the dirt, not me, but some kind soul.

I would so love to have a place like this near me. My mind gets so lost in these shops, it is like I am in a coma! Great deal on the tools! Tip: Clean your garden tools by wiping them down with a little motor oil, then dip them in a pail of sand. They come out like new and will last forever!!

A gardener has to have her tools. I find that I grab for the old beat up tools in my arsenal more than the shiny new ones for some strange reason. I guess my hand gets used to it like a hand in glove.
