Bargain Pinks

If you love pink, join Beverly at How Sweet the Sound. She has a whole list of pink posts for you to visit!

Today, I thought I would feature a couple of my bargain ‘pinks’. This DKNY shirt was bought recently at Dirt Cheap-a local store that sells salvaged merchandise. They have been putting out tons of stuff from Macy’s! I love the pink and green combination in this shirt!IMG_0579

Last year I bought a few 6 packs of dianthus, more commonly known as ‘pinks’. These flowers were really cheap-50 cents for a six pack! They looked pretty bad when I bought them, but I set them out anyway and I sure am glad.IMG_0577

They have really brightened up my spring flower beds. Only thing is…..I wish I had bought and planted LOTS more. Don’t you just love flowers that come back every year? I know I do! IMG_0578

Thanks so much for coming by and looking at my pink bargains! I hope you have a wonderful Pink Saturday!

Diane

Happy Pink Saturday, Diane.

You have inspired me. I've always wanted to plant dianthus, and I believe I will go shopping for some this weekend.

Love your shirt and the flowers. For some reason I have never been very successful with dianthus--they look great for a while and then die! Thanks and Happy Saturday

I love a good bargain on plants especially the ones that needed some TLC. I enjoy a couple of plants that "I saved" from being thrown out by the store.

I can't resist a bargain. I think this economy is causing more designer clothes to end up at my local Ross Dress for Less. I love your shirt and your flowers!

Your blooms are beautiful. I'm going to plant more perennials this year so I don't spend so much time and money every spring.

"...And best of all I like grass pinks, like those my mother grew."

Perennials are great but some can become a weed....popping up in the most unwelcome places.

Have a most beautiful day.

Great goodies you're sharing! Don't you just ♥ Pink Saturday? This is the one day that I get to totally indulge myself, get all girlie, drink tea with cream, and share time with friends on the internet. And you never let me down. Another wonderful pink-a-licious blog post!

Went out to dinner with friends, so I'm a little late, but better late than never, right? I wish you a Sunday filled with family, l♥ve, sunshine and peace.

Hi Diane, I was gone all day yesterday at the Biltmore where I met Penny (Lavender Hill) and her dh for lunch. My dh was with me. It is Flower Festival time. So beautiful. Anyway I came home too worn out to visit. So here I am today catching up. I love your shirt and your pinks. I need to plant some of those.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Hugs...Jeanne

I've always thought pink and green were very tranquil as a combination. Perfect for a little girl's nursery. Or a big girl's room (like us!)
