I finally figured it out!

I’m as happy as a kid learning to ride a bike! What for you may be wondering???

I finally learned how to edit html enough to widen my post column, and not have the sidebar on the right bump to the bottom of the blog! I was just before hiring someone to do this when I figured it out! Took me til all hours of the night, so I’m kinda sleepy this morning!

Also, I started using Windows Live Writer. I found out about this on Rhoda’s blog, and it is great. I’ve noticed lots of other bloggers found out too! It is worth your time especially if you use blogger and don’t want to change!

I've always admired blogs with big pictures, but didn't want to give up the 3 column template-now I don't have to!

Have a great day…we are in the path for a line of thunderstorms today so it will probably be a wet one here!

Diane

Edited to add:
I'm so embarassed if any of you clicked on the first link I posted earlier to Rhoda's blog. Please accept my apologies! I should have known better than to trust my memory ! Live and Learn! Thank you Jan for the email, and Grams for the comment!

It looks GREAT! I keep hearing about Windows live writer...I will eventually have to check it out.

We are going to be getting thunderstorms, gusty winds and a big drop in temperature. Need the rain..I could do without the cold though.

Have a great Thursday!

Stay safe from the storms!

The rain is still here...its awful. Everything looks green though.

I tried Windows Live Writer and couldn't get it to tie in with my blog...not sure what I did wrong. I'm usually pretty savy with computer "stuff" so it really frustrated me for a few days. I finally gave up and removed it from my computer. I may try to download it again at some point.

Your blog looks good.

Hugs!
Kat

Woo hoo, Diane! You are much braver than I am! I have this fear of trying something like that and wiping out the entire thing! I've come close a time or two, so my hat's off to you for taking that leap of faith! Looks great!

Your blog looks great Diane! I haven't ahd much time lately to work on mine but I'd love to learn how to widen the middle to make photos appear larger.

I didn't have much success with Windows Live Writer when I tried it .. it made my computer run very slow and when I tried to edit the post I did it kept giving me an "error messsage" and I had to edit in blogger and had the darndest time fixing the text that it dropped.
I'll try it again and see if I ahve better luck this time.
