2nd Time Around: Planters for the porch

Welcome to  2nd Time Around. Please join us by linking a post that features something that is a 2nd Time Around to you…something from a garage sale, flea market, thrift store, etc.

I bought these two matching planters awhile back at a garage sale. The first picture shows one with my Southern Living at Home trellis behind it. I intended to buy another one for the other planter, and found out the other day that this piece had been discontinued. So, I guess I’ll have to try EBAY!

One reason I haven’t shared them til now is because I intended to spray paint them….but I’m not sure I really want to. What do you think?

I apologize for ‘forgetting’ about 2nd Time Around last week! Guess it was because of the Labor Day holiday!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hi Diane...my first time posting on your blog...thanks for the opportunity to show off my bargains that I found this week...It's very rewarding to see something very expensive then the next day find the same item for pennies.....and in your size!!!

These are beautiful. I love wire anything, and planters, and flowers, and porches, so perfect combination for me. =0)

I love them just the way they are. Unless you just have a certain color you want to match them with something else....They are so nice.

Hi Diane, I love your planters just the way they are. The flowers are beautiful. I wouldn't paint them but I am partial to black. I know your porch furniture is mostly white.

Did I tell you we are getting a poodle puppy. She is red and was just born this week. I'll post a photo when she is a little older. The breeder is in So. GA. We are so excited.

I will link my post in the morning.

Hugs...Jeanne

Wow, what a great find at a yard sale! I love them. I don't think i would change anything about the trellis or the planters.

I'm not sure that I'd change them. I think they're cute.

Hi Diane
I'm in the midst of transitioning the back porch. As a result of this, I've lost my blog list, along the way!!

I'm trying to remember my list, plus clicking on comments to get back to my readers. I'm taking your link for my new list, which is at a new blog, just for my blog list!

I love your planters just as they are. Beautiful, by the way. I hope you are successful in finding the trellis for the other one.

Ooopsie, I added this post to the earlier 2nd time around blog post as well..sorry.

I adore your new planters. I would keep them this way until your sure you want to paint them. I don't know how many times I've painted something and then wanted it the way it was lol Of course painted white...it would look super cute! lol (I paint everything white lol)

Oh wow! what a great piece! I would have been singing and dancing and cheering to have that!

I think they look great as they are... I would not paint them.

I love these! I'm always hoping to find 1 or 2 like you did. But, then I remember that I won't care for the plants as I should. I personally think everyone is way too quick with their trigger fingers to paint everything. They are great. Have a great week!

I like them as they are actually! What a beautiful piece. And after months and months away ...I'm joining in again on your Tuesday!
