2nd Time Around: White Elephant Antiques in Mentone, Alabama

Jackson 005

Welcome to 2nd Time Around. Please join us by linking a post that features something that is a 2nd Time Around to you…something from a garage sale, flea market, thrift store, estate sale, etc. Please link your post rather than your blog, and link back to this blog. Thank you for participating.

We were out of town this past weekend, and will be next weekend, so I’m posting a picture of an antique shop that I’m looking forward to visiting!

It is the White Elephant in Mentone, Alabama on Lookout Mountain. I have a friend that has a home on the brow of the mountain, and at least once a year a whole group of good friends visit her and enjoy spending some girl time chatting, shopping, eating at local restaurants etc!

I’ve bought several  things at this shop through the years, but have not visited since I’ve started my own flea market and antique booth adventure. So, I’m looking forward to noting displays, prices,  etc. and really seeing what sells!

I don’t know why I took a picture of this teapot…guess it  was the one thing that caught my eye…LOL I think my taste has changed since then.

Now it’s your turn….tell me about a favorite antique store or flea market that you enjoy visiting!

I am very fascinated by watermelon pottery! I've seen fruit bowls, dishes, plates, even cutlery. But, this is the 1st teapot I've ever seen; how cute!

Cool looking store. I don't know if I have a favorite flea market or antique store... I do however have a favorite thrift store call The Yard Sale in Burien, Wa It is a fairly recent opening store, and has so much cool stuff in a small space= I like shopping there 'cause everything is displayed well.

There was the best flea market in my hometown called Jamie's Flea Market. If there isn't a stall there selling it, you probably dodn't need it anyway!

I don't really have a favorite flea market, they are all so expensive. Honestly, I do better at lawnsales. Thanks for hosting the party. I love seeing what every one else has to share.

Hi Diane :-) "My name is Cheryl B. and I am a Goodwill/mission store and resale shop (which includes antique stores) addict" ;-p The thrill of the hunt is just so much fun!!!

I hope you find some "I don't want to live without" treasures this weekend, as well as get inspired with some wonderous ideas for your own venture!

My link-up is what I made from findings ... Thanks for hosting this so that I can show + tell!
