The Nester at The Nesting Place if holding a POOPIE party. You may be wondering what on earth that stands for! It is People Opposing Objectionable Pretend plants in the Envirornment! Everyone is posting their favorite or not so favorite fake plants.I have a few that I just can't part with. The first picture is one I got at a yard sale...the same place I got the rug I posted about a few weeks ago. It is on the top of the piano. There is no way I would ever be able to keep anything alive and looking good there...so what else could I do?
This next one is by the garden tub in the master bath. I got this one at Hudson's Treasure Hunt for 90% off. If you live in the south, you may have a Hudson's near you. They buy salvage and divide it among all their stores. Their prices are not as good as a yard sale, but much better than retail. You can get some high quality fakes there!
This last one is one I want to replace. The fakes look plastic....I'm just looking for the right thing to go on this wall. I like the container though...it will probably end up on my porch!
And finally, you may know about this product, but if you don't, try it! You can buy it at Walmart, and it is great for cleaning the silk plants and flowers.
Be sure to click on the icon at the top and visit others in the POOPIE party! Thanks for stopping by!
Don't ya wish the Nester did house calls? :) How fun would that be!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all your arrangements...they look great!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip about the silk flower cleaner!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your Faux flowers...beautiful! I wouldn't be "opposed" to them at all! :) ~Rhonda
ReplyDeleteI have a wall pocket like that one and it is on my porch. I have greens, pussy willows and some, shhh! fake flowers in it, lol...they have white petals and a green middle, so they just sort of blend with the greenery and the color of the pocket, at least that is my story and I'm sticking to it! :)

Hi Diane, I LOOOOOVE that first one! I have got to get some of that cleaner...I always clean mine in the fall and spring...Oh my, I dread that day...lol. Blessings, nancy

ReplyDeleteThank you for showing us that cleaner--I had no idea!
ReplyDeleteThat first arrangement looks like it originally cost a bundle!
And the last one--I bet you could do a little addition and subtraction and love it again!
I never tried that silk cleaner stuff. I could've used it before I gave my ficus trees away. I got so tired of cleaning all those little leaves! -Julia :-)

ReplyDeleteI have to make ANOTHER trip to Wal-Mart. I have to have some of my fake plants....I'd never get them all watered!
ReplyDeleteHi, I need to tell you that I really enjoy your blog. I'm a fellow Mississippian, and I have two red-headed grandsons, too! Love the red hair! I'm just getting started on bloggins, but pop over anytime!
ReplyDeleteI also want to say that, if I didn't have fake plants, I wouldn't have any plants at all! I can't even keep a philodendron living!
ReplyDeleteI love that grass in your bathroom. You have a lot of great poopies! :)
ReplyDeleteHey I admit I like fake flowers, fake eyelashes, and fake antiques (reproductions). Come to think of it-there are alot of fake things that look real and pretty darn good!!!! I enjoyed your post, funny. Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Debbie
Thank you for sharing your poopie plastic flowers. I really like the first one...and the 2nd one sounds like the perfect one for where it is...maybe I agree with you about the 3rd one though the container is really nice.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could put a nice ivy type vine in it and hang it outside or on your porch...
I had a nice visit...and I'll be back.
Hope you've had a nice day.
Judi
Enjoyed seeing your pretty florals. My sister loved the one, we think was in your bathroom that you didn't care for very much.
ReplyDeleteThe one over the piano from the garage sale was beautiful. That one was a grat find because it looks like it cost a lot to make.
Enjoy your evening!
Beth
I do have several fakes I need to get rid of but yours all look great. I tried some silk flower cleaner before but not the one from walmart. Thanks for the tip, DebraK

ReplyDeleteI got the pumpkins at Garden Ridge this year. If you have one near I think they are still half off!
