Pink Sunset

These pictures of a pink sunset were made on Lookout mountain in Mentone, Alabama. We stayed in the Brown House which is owned by my friend Linda. Linda and her family have since sold this home and are living on the other side of Lookout Mountain. Now they get to see the sun rise instead of the sunset!

I love the pink glow on Kelli's and Connor's face in this picture. We had a great time on this trip....it was Connor's first vacation!
I think both sunrises and sunsets are a beautiful reminder of God's creation. You just have to be in the right place at the right time and take time to enjoy the beauty.

  3. Hi Diane...from 1998-2000 we lived ON Lookout Mt. in Gadsden, Ala... We loved it there, but I can tell you living ON a mountain during a lightning storm is scary...thanks for reminding me of the beauty!

  5. Diane, Mintone is beautiful and you know what? I have never been there! My FIL just sold the lake house he and DH built 25 years ago in Guntersville. I used to want to go hike Mintone when we would go to Guntersville, but I am either cooking and cleaning or on the water and with other family members.

Now, that we don't have a place to stay... we will have to go to one of those B&B's I am always hearing about at Mintone. :-) Thanks for posting!
