Works for me Wed: Cleaning products I like and a funny joke!

How many of you like the Swifter products? I just love my battery operated Swifter Sweeper! It has a little cup that picks up loose dirt that can be emptied, a filter, and uses the dry swifter cloths.

It has to be charged, and I keep it in the garage plugged up and ready to go all the time. The only problem with it is that the charge only lasts about 20 or 30 minutes...so if you have a big house, you might not be able to do everything at once.

Connor loves to do my floors when he visits me! Here's another product that I like....just be careful with this one. It took the glaze off a spot on my cabinets, but works great on the door facings and spots on the wall!
Since we're on the subject of cleaning, here's a cute joke I got from a friend through an email:

A woman was sitting at a bar enjoying an after work cocktail with her girlfriends when Steven a tall, exceptionally handsome, extremely sexy, middle-aged man entered. He was so striking that the woman could not take her eyes off him.The young-at-heart man noticed her overly attentive stare and walked directly toward her. (As all men will.)

Before she could offer her apologies for staring so rudely, he leaned over and whispered to her,
'I'll do anything, absolutely anything, that you want me to do, no matter how kinky, for $20.00......on one condition' Flabbergasted, the woman asked what the condition was. The man replied, 'You have to tell me what you want me to do in just three words.' The woman considered his proposition for a moment, and then slowly removed a $20 bill from her purse, which she pressed into the man's hand along with her address.

She looked deeply into his eyes, and slowly and meaningfully said...

'Clean my house.'

I haven't used a swifter product in years. I have a magic eraser that I use at school a lot! It did take some of the finish off an old table though. It works wonders at removing permanent ink!

Funny joke. I'd like to find a man who would do that for $20.

take care,
Dawn

LOL...LOL...LOL that is a GREAT one!! That would be $20.00 well spent!!

I use the swiffer sweeper with the wet wood floor cloths in my living room area. I haven't tried the battery operated one. I also love those magic erasers.

I love that joke, Diane!

I use the cloths, but don't have the sweeper. I should try that.

I've used both products in the past.

The product I need most is Connor!

Hey Diane, I do like your post today. I have a swifter and haven't used it. I keep pulling out my old mop. My daughter LOVES her swifter. She also loves the magic eraser. I bought one and started cleaning my doors and woodwork. (painted white)It worked but sort of dulled the paint. I liked the way it cleaned though.

I love your joke. My house is getting dusty and dirty and it is bugging me alot. I decided to hire my niece to clean my house and the cabin this Monday. My cousin and her husband are coming to visit and they are staying in the cabin. I am looking forward to some company and they are wonderful at helping out. My dh is ecstatic. Job relief!

Have a good school day.

Hugs...Jeanne

Good morning!
I loved that joke! Funny. Not even too funny because I would love to pay someone $20.00 to do that job too. Poor guy though eh?

I have used the swiffer for my wooden floors and it does such a good job! You have such a good helper too.

You asked how I drill into the china? I use a special drill bit for china/tile/glass and it just seems to work. It does take some perseverance though and the bit doesn't last too many drills.

Thank you for visiting my blog.
Have a love day.

Hi Diane! I think any of us ladies over "50" would have told the guy the same thing!lol Thanks for the tip on the swiffer; I can't live without them and use them every day; was wondering how the vac worked. My next purchase! Now if I could get someone as cute as Connor to sweep I'd be all set!lol Have a great night - Sincerely, Jeannette

I love my swiffer and found a way to make it not so expensive too, by putting my own cleaning solution in and also by using a cloth on the bottom and just washing it every time before.

I definitely love those sponges! :D

Diane,
I also love the swifter especially on my wood floors. I do not have a broom except outside. Connor looks like a great little handsome helper!
My son clued me in on Mr. Eraser and now it is a must at our home with all the little hand prints we seem to get.

Thanks for the smile! It was a cute joke. Love your positive posts!

Diane, I, too, am a Swiffer addict. I love all their products, but my favorite is the Swiffer Dusters with the extension wand. You can reach high or low and in all the hard to reach nooks and crannies.

I like the magic erasers too, but agree about having to be careful. I've "magically erased" paint in several places ... lol.
