A New Years Parade: Family Fotos

Deborah of Pictures Pots and Pens is hosting Family Foto. Please visit her blog for other family pictures.

This time last year we were in Rome. We traveled with the Big Easy Jazz Ambassadors. They performed Dixieland Jazz music in two parades while we were there. This is a picture of some of the band members with an Italian villa in the background.

Those that were not band members participated in the parade by wearing Mardi Graz masks and throwing beads to the crowd.

My husband and I waiting for the parade to start with our beads....

This little Italian man really got into the music. He danced with lots of the ladies, but got a little too frisky with one or two of them. We nicknamed him the "DIM" for Dirty Italian Man! LOL

We had such a great time traveling with this group. Hopefully, we will have a chance to travel with them again in the future.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

  13. Diane,

I am enjoying seeing your Rome pictures. Have I already told you our son and his cousin served a service mission there for two years and it is fun to see Italy and I can see why he fell in love with the people and the country. In fact, he now feels part Italian and is an excellent Italian cook Italian style!

    Happy New year my friend!
