Outdoor Wednesday: A Bunny Pic

Susan from A Southern Daydreamer is hosting Outdoor Wednesday! Be sure to stop by and visit her for lots of outdoor posts.

This is a pic of a little rabbit on our back porch last summer. I had to take the picture through the glass because I knew if I opened the door the bunny would scurry away so excuse the funny color of the eyes!

It has been really cold here in the deep south, and I'm really longing for some milder temperatures so I can get outside more.
In the background is a prayer bench from an antique store that I use on the porch for plants, bird feeders etc. I bought this several years ago for almost nothing!

I am thinking of painting it white. But the project is going to have to wait til we have a few warmer days.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Welcome to Outdoor Wednesday Diane!

I love the photo of the bunny on your back porch! It looks like you have a nice space to "sit a spell" during those long hot humid southern days!

I am ready for the weather to warm up too!

Thanks for sharing your outdoor photo with us!

  2. How sweet...he's soooo cute!!!

It's 16 here right now...almost NOON. How cold is it where you are? It surely MUST be warmer. We've been in the low teens, and worse...for over a week...and those are HIGHS for the day!!!

I am sitting here with my great grand daughter on my lap and she saw your bunny and said, "Like It" which is high praise in her little world. I think I like the bench rustic but that is me, it would also look good white.

  8. Hi Diane1

I did your "5 Things Tag" today :-)

    Thanks -- it was fun!

You did some nice quick camera work to capture that bunny! Was he snacking on your flowers?

I hope your warm weather returns soon!

  11. I love that prayer bench and I'm ready for some spring time myself. I wanted to see some snow here but if we can't get one snow, just bring on the springtime with pretty flowers outside!!

  12. Oh Diane! I think even the bunnies in the South look different than the ones here! "What big ears you have Mr. Bunny!" LOL :-)

  19. That's a cute little bunny fellow. I have lots of his relatives up here. They left bunny tracks all over the snow on the patio. Your bunny looks as if he was caught snacking on the flowers.

  20. What a cute picture of the bunny. You did a great job snapping this before he hopped away. I just love bunnies, unfortunately I'm extremely allergic to them, so I guess I'll just have to come back and look at this from time to time! It looks like you have a lovely seating area to relax on summer evenings. Kathy

  25. Hi Diane, I love your bunny photo. I know we have bunny visitors because I see their footprints in the snow but I never see them. I think the dogs scare them away from here. My sister has a black Lab behind us that could be why they don't come around. I know we have deer too but we rarely see them close to home.

I think your bench is perfect for your outdoor space. I like it natural.

    Hugs...Jeanne
