Connor spent the night with us on Friday after going to the play I posted about yesterday. We had to get up early and get to the soccer complex for his last game. He didn’t want to get dressed, so I solved the problem by bribing him-I told him I would give him a dollar to get dressed. It did the trick-he was ready in no time! His mama didn’t think it was too funny, but as a grandmother you do what you have to do. We even arrived at the game before his mom and dad!
This was Connor’s last soccer game of the season. Here he is in his blue uniform holding his 2nd soccer trophy.
Now that soccer is over, it is time for T Ball! Connor played for the first time last year, and began to really get into it just as the season ended.

ReplyDeleteI love the bribe, he obviously knows who will dole out the bribes and how to get them. Life lesson there I think, never do for free what someone will pay you to do? He is so adorable, I hope he has fun with Tball this summer.

ReplyDeleteConnor looks liker a star! My son played soccer and baseball all through his life from 5 years old to college. It's a wonderful way to keep boys focused and busy!

ReplyDeletewell...I think you did good! Connor made a dollar and you got him there. Sometimes you just have to. Thats a great sport and I'm sure he'll be eager to get dressed as he gets more into the game.
