2nd Time Around: $1.00 plant basket

Welcome to 2nd Time Around! Please create a post showing off your second hand treasures, and link to Mr. Linky below.

As I’ve mentioned before, one of my favorite things to hunt for at garage sales, thrift stores, etc. is accessories for my porch. This basket is from Southern Living at Home and was only $1.00 at a yard sale! The original cost was 19.95. The piece has been discontinued, so I’m glad I found it!

This photo was made last summer…you can see how huge the elephant ears are outside the porch. I moved them early this spring because they were crowding out my shrubs, and obstructing the view of the wooded area behind the porch.

I will be taking a little break from blogging for a couple of weeks, so I won’t host 2nd Time Around until the end of June. Mr. Linky is so temperamental, and I hate to schedule a post with him if I can’t check on it!

Thanks for understanding!

  4. Hi Diane, as always I do love your sweet basket and flowers. I have a couple of those that are now rusty. A paint job and wallah! All new again.

Enjoy your break Diane. I am going to try to post but it may not happen. It is late and this hotel has a laundry. Guess what I am doing?

We won't be home until June 21st. I won't be posting anything the last week. We will be in a remote cabin the last week so no computer. I will enjoy the bloggy break.

    Until next time...Hugs, Jeanne

  7. I enjoyed your post. What a deal! Thanks for letting me join you today. I posted twice. The first one is wrong because I had the link back to my site and not straight to the post for your 2nd Time Around. This is just the second time that I have done this. I don't know if you can remove the first one or not. Thanks for the fun!

  8. Your hanging basket is adorable. I have one like that that I use during the holidays to put greens in. I'm bummed (for me)that you are going away for a while, but I'm happy (for you) that you get to go on a fun vacation. Have a great time!!!
