2nd Time Around: A Wooden Box

Jackson 005

Welcome to 2nd Time Around. Please join us by linking a post that features something that is a 2nd Time Around to you…something from a garage sale, flea market, thrift store, estate sale, etc. Please link your post rather than your blog, and link back to this blog. Thank you for participating.

I ‘won’ this cute wooden box at the same auction that I blogged about a couple of weeks ago. I really love it, but like the hall tree, I think I paid too much for it, so it will stay with me! I haven’t decided what to do with it. It is one of my many unfinished projects! Tell me what you think I should do with it? I’m thinking of using it as a planter. I would love to hear your suggestions!

I love this box! A planter would be great, but I would line it with something so the wood will not rot. I can see it being used as a neat Tea Tray for outdoor Tea! You could use it for towels, bath lotions, Oh, you have some many ways you could use this wonderful box!

Neat box,

I think it would be cool filled with vintage toys. Old windup cars, a wooden train, some blocks...

Diane, I really like your box. I don't know about you, but it is so easy for me to get carried away with bidding at an auction. Since I am currently shopping my house to find something to put on the coffee table to put photographs in, I think this would be perfect for that. Thanks for hosting 2nd Time Around. laurie

Hi Diane, I love your box. It is rustic and right up my alley. Little pots of flowers would look great in there. Or fall leaves of course. Smile.

I didn't link to you today because I posted about our anniversary. Next week I'll be back. The heart plate is a Good Will find though. $5. and it wasn't made in China. I gave it to my sister for her birthday. We always give little 'I love you' small gifts. The heart was perfect.

Have a happy day.
Hugs xoxo, Jeanne

Hi Diane, Just stopping by to say hello. I will be joining in for tomorrow's event. I hope your venture in selling your great finds is doing well. I loved selling antiques when I was in a mall and doing shows. I think of you often because I miss the fun of that time in my life. I miss the 'hunt' more than anything else. I look forward to seeing your Tuesday's posts very much.

Enjoy your day.
Hugs, Jeanne
