2nd Time Around: Designer Jewelry

Jackson 005

Welcome to 2nd Time Around. Please join us by linking a post that features something that is a 2nd Time Around to you…something from a garage sale, flea market, thrift store, estate sale, etc. Please link your post rather than your blog, and link back to this blog. Thank you for participating.

Recently I bought a lot of jewelry from a lady here in town to resale in my antique mall booths and in my Etsy shop. I knew when I bought it that the jewelry was good…there were lots of Weiss pieces in the lot.

When I saw the bracelet and earrings in the pictures, I didn’t realize how special they were until I researched the designer. This set is by Elsa Schiaparelli, an Italian born designer who moved to Paris and became a rival of Coco Channel.

I recently listed this set in my Etsy shop, and was very pleasantly surprised when they sold this weekend!

I have really enjoyed learning about her life, and finding her jewelry on Ebay, Ruby Lane, Esty and other sites that list vintage jewelry. I have one more bracelet by this designer, and I think I’ll keep it!

Thank you for visiting!

  6. Diane, these jewelry pieces are beautiful. You definitely have an eye for the good stuff. I just scrolled down to the gold and pearl bracelet and it is stunning. I missed last week because I was exhausted from the buying trip I went on with my sister. I would keep that bracelet too.

Keep on looking for jewelry. It is a great seller. My sisters do well with their jewelry sales.

    Have a wonderful day.
    Hugs, Jeanne

  9. Hi Diane!
LOVE that jewelry... especially since I don't have pierced ears. :-)

    They are gorgeous!
I can remember my mother correcting my pronunciation of "Schiaparelli" when I was a teenager. I am not surprised they sold quickly -- what a treasure!

  10. PS Forgot to say -- my mother adored the color known in the 50s and 60s as "Schiaparelli Pink."
