2nd Time Around: Matching the Paint to the Piece!

Welcome to 2nd Time Around. Please join us by linking a post that features something that is a 2nd Time Around to you…something from a garage sale, flea market, thrift store, estate sale, etc. Please link your post rather than your blog, and link back to this blog. Thank you for participating.

Sorry this post is late getting up, but sometimes life gets in the way!

This week I’m featuring two painted pieces at the Flea Market. I do the Facebook page for them, and try to feature items that will entice customers to come out and look at all the great merchandise we have. The little shabby desk sold very quickly, and the red chiffarobe had several comments. I haven’t painted anything this color yet, but my daughter wants a desk I bought to paint, and wants it red! So, I’m hoping she will see this and let me know if it is anywhere close to the color she wants! I think the owners of these pieces did a great job on choosing colors that ‘go’ with the furniture!

Thanks for dropping by today! I’m traveling to a small Alabama town to visit my student interns and of course will do a little junking on the way home! LOL….can’t help it-I’m addicted!

These are all such pretty pieces. I wish I lived close to you and your shop...I'd sure buy some of the pretty things you show us.
Thanks for hosting, Diane.
Have a great week.

You seem to be having the best time with your booth, Diane! And I like that little shabby desk. Wish I had seen it first! :-)

I love both of those, Diane, especially the desk!

I wish you a safe trip to Alabama. The weather outside today is going to be frightful. Take care ...

Hi Diane, thanks for linking me. I was gone all day and then napped the evening away. I am up late doing a post for tomorrow.

Nice pieces you shared. I am addicted to shopping for thrifty buys too. I miss the business a lot. I'm so glad you are having fun with it too.

Have fun visiting your student interns and junking. Smile.
Warm hugs, Jeanne

he red chiffarobe is gorgeous! I'm always petrified to paint furniture...even furniture with wood that is beyond repair. I bought a little gossip bench last two summers ago that is still sitting in my basement because I'm too chicken to make a move, lol! But this year...as soon as the weather gets nicer...I'm making my move! Maybe it'll be worthy of a Second Time Around Tuesday post. :-)
