2nd Time Around: Quick Paint Job-Quick Sale!

Welcome to 2nd Time Around. Please join us by linking a post that features something that is a 2nd Time Around to you…something from a garage sale, flea market, thrift store, estate sale, etc. Please link your post rather than your blog, and link back to this blog. Thank you for participating.

This library table was a bargain I found at the same house that had the mirror I bought a couple of weeks ago that I blogged about. It was already painted white, but had been decoupaged with family photos on the top. I used my sander and a paint thinner to remove all the residue from the decoupage. I gave it a quick coat of paint, and distressed the edges with my sander. Then instead of using polyurethane, I finished the piece with paste wax-so easy to do, and I really loved the results!

This piece sold within a week – and provided the motivation needed to get busy painting some more!

It’s just that it is so hot here!

Thanks for stopping by, and please consider linking your 2nd Time Around Bargains!

Hi Diane , I'm home and happy to be on my computer. Your library table looks awesome. Good job. A quick sale is a good thing. smile!

I also love the planter chair in your previous post. the color is bright and interesting. I really like the old chairs used for this purpose.

Happy days are wished for you my friend. It is good to be home.
Hugs, Jeanne

Diane! Love the table ... but this morning was checking me email -- I subscribe to Auntie Kate's blog, The Resale Expert, and guess what? She links to your blog post about the red chifferobe in her post today.
Just in case you didn't know!

Hi Diane...
I posted a comment to you just a few minutes ago, but I'm pretty sure it never went anywhere --- so here goes again!
I just wanted to say that in reading Auntie Kate's blog (The Resale Expert), I discovered that she's got a link to your post about the red display case in today's message.
