One of my favorite things to look for at flea markets and thrift stores is things for my porch. I haven't been out shopping lately so I wasn't sure what I would post.
I looked through pics from last summer, and found a picture of this old tool box that I found at a flea market in Bay St. Louis, Ms. It was already painted to match the wicker on our back porch! The plants are inside now, but looking at this pic makes me long for those warmer days! I paid a little more for this than I normally do- about 10 dollars. Since I've gotten so many bargains in recent months, I've gotten a lot more selective in what I buy! I probably would pass this up now-but I'm glad I have it!

Oh I love this planter Diane. Now that Christmas is over, I'm longing for warm weather again!
ReplyDeleteHello……. !
ReplyDeleteVery cute all these pictures... I agree with your title..Great……. may god bless you !
love the planter, the furniture and wish it was warmer here too!
ReplyDeleteDiane, I am particulary fond of container gardening, and I love your use of this as a planter. One of my favorite things to do is planting interesting plants in unusual and interesting containers. As the country people around here sometimes say when giving a compliment: "You did GOOD"!

ReplyDeleteI love it and it's colors! I'm glad you did buy it. I had a sunroom at my last house, and I so miss it. :O( Be thankful for that lovely porch everyday. We have a deck, and you just can't foof them up as nicely! Not that I'm lecturing you - I'm just a tad jealous (not one of my better qualities!)

ReplyDeleteMorning Diane! I love things like this for the porch/patio. I had one years ago and for the life of me don't know what happened to it!! Seeing yours I may have to look for another one or maybe have my dad build me one! Looks great. Nice color for wicker too; a little different than most! Have a nice day - Sincerely, Jeannette
ReplyDeleteHello Diane, I wanted to play along today but I couldn't think of anything to post. I'm working on it though. Hopefully next week I will think of something. LOL.
ReplyDeleteYour little tool box is so sweet for a planter. Truthfully, you are the queen of seeing possibilities in trash. I am lame at best. I can picture a room decorated but that's about it.
Love and hugs...Jeanne
