LaBoulangerie in New Orleans, LA

On a recent visit to New Orleans, I ate breakfast with my son and daughter at La Boulangerie on Magazine street. I loved this wheat toast with avocado and eggs! What is your favorite breakfast? If you are ever in New Orleans, I recommend a visit there. You won't be disappointed!

Audubon Zoo New Orleans July 2014

I have neglected my blog! Thought I would try to get back to blogging at least once a week by posting some of my favorite pictures.

This one was made in New Orleans the first week of July at the Audubon Zoo. My grandsons went with me to visit my son, and had a wonderful time at the Cool Zoo! I have a picture of Connor (the one on the bottom) made several years ago in the same tree.

Cooper (top picture) had a great time at the zoo! He didn't remember coming to the zoo before. I think he must have been around 2 years old.

If you are ever in the area, the zoo in New Orleans is great! Well worth the time.

Thanks for stopping by!

French Quarter Festival: Outdoor Wednesday

Recently we traveled to Louisiana for a family crawfish boil. On the way home, we stopped by New Orleans and walked around in the French Quarter. It was our first time to be in the French Quarter during the French Quarter Festival. It was crowded, but the weather was fabulous, and the skies were crystal blue! These are some random pics that I took that day.

You never know what you’ll see in the French Quarter. Connor had a million questions for this ‘golden’ guy!

Large crowds spread out all over Jackson Square to listen to the New Orleans Jazz bands.

We had a great time at the French Quarter Festival and found it to be family friendly in the areas we walked near Jackson Square and the Mississippi River. It was the most crowded I’ve ever seen it in the French Quarter!

Friday's Foto

Deborah of Pictures Pots and Pens is hosting a Favorite Foto Friday.

This week I chose a series of pictures taken in March of Connor. We were in New Orleans at the Audubon Zoo. There is a huge tree in the middle, and all the kids were climbing it. He is not too confident at first!

A little higher up he looks down...too late to turn around!Wow! He made it all the way to the top!
More important than anything are the memories and happy thoughts that the pictures bring! Connor will be with me again today, and I'll make sure he sees your comments!

Thanks for stopping by. Go to Deborah's blog for other participants!

All Boy...Connor

These pictures of Connor were made the last weekend of March 2008. We went to the New Orleans Zoo after the Crawfish Boil in Houma. Then we met Jonathan for lunch at O'Henrys in NOLA. As always, Connor was intrigued with the snakes...and climbing trees!

It was so muddy, and hot, and CROWDED at Jazz Fest, but as always the music was wonderful! Jimmy Buffett really knows how to please the crowd. I'm glad we went...and plan to go again!
