Book Tag and Awards

Dawn at Dawn's Daybreak has tagged me to do a book tag listing 7 unimportant book facts about myself.

1. One of my favorite kid's Christmas books is "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."

2. I'm currently reading "Because of Winn Dixie" to my first grade students.

3. Through the years, I've read "Charlotte's Web" more times than I care to count-but still love it!

4. Currently I'm reading "Twlight." I just had to see what all the fuss is about!

5. I love reading a book and then seeing the movie.

6. I enjoy books by Jodi Picoult.

I won these candlesticks from Jan at Jan and Tom's Place. Thanks so much Jan! I haven't decided where I'll use these yet, but I'll be sure to post a picture and let you know. Jan also sent a very sweet note, and some herbal tea!

New Awards

I had a pleasant surprise when I got in from work on Monday...my first day back at work. I had gotten two awards! The first one is a Friendship Award from Pat at Milli Fiori Favoriti. Pat writes such interesting posts about her life in New York City. I visit her blog every time she has a new post. When I finally make it to NYC, I think I'll enjoy my trip so much more cause of the background Pat's given me.

Here are the questions:

1.Where would you like to live? Right here where I live now! Or maybe a little closer to my daughter and grandkids....they are about a 30 minute drive. Actually, I think they should move. LOL

2.What is your decorating style? Mostly traditional since I love antiques!


3.How many times have you been married? Once, and still married to the same husband.....he is very easy going! LOL

4.Where have you traveled? I've been to Europe 2 times, and while there went to Paris, Rome, and Florence. I've been to Washington DC, San Antonio Texas, and too many places to name in the south! Our next trip will probably be to Orlando to my uncle's 50th wedding anniversary. We plan to combine that with a family trip to Disney.

5.Favorite color: I love bright colors...and have always loved purple and pink. I don't have much in my house those colors (if anything) but still love the colors.

6.What is your proudest accomplishment? Raising my two children...I'm very proud of them...they are great kids!

7.What would we be absolutely shocked to learn about you? That's a hard one....how about this: I can't swim! I don't think I'm capable of learning!
