A day with Connor

I made these pictures of Connor one day when he spent the day with me. We went to the pet store and he got to see a ferret for the first time. I don't have much experience with these critters. They were friendly, frisky little things!

I think he was afraid it would bite him! While we were in there, a young couple came in with one on a leash! That was perfect timing I think! I was more amazed than he was.
Finally, here is Connor and his dad at Chick fil a. He met us there after a morning of golf. Cooper was with the baby sitter, and Kelli was at work. I love those days with Connor! He is big enough to go just about anywhere with me now and he is fun to talk to!
Thanks for the visit!

Lunch with the girls!

Last Thursday a group of my friends and I drove to Livingston, Alabama for lunch. They are the best group of friends ever! I am keeping Cooper full time for awhile since his baby sitter had a baby, and they didn't hesitate one bit for him to tag along! After eating at Diamond Jim's, we went to a Farmer's Market and bought a watermelon and tomatoes. On the way back to Meridian, we stopped at the Cotton Patch Studio in York, Alabama.

Below is a mosaic mural on the side of the store that the owners have been working on. Charlie, one of the owners, told us that it is really beautiful at night when the lights from the cars shine on it! This picture doesn't do it justice at all. Here are all of us in a photo that Charlie took. Notice that Cooper is really taking in the mosaic art behind him! I have such a WONDERFUL group of friends!

Here's their a sign inside the store. We didn't spend much time inside because the kiln had been on and it was hotter inside than outside if you can believe it. They have some beautiful items that I would love to have photographed. Notice the cute little mosaic birdhouse...one of the items they make there.
I had to take a picture of these planters in downtown York. They were absolutely beautiful! So green, lush, and healthy. It was obvious that someone in this small sleepy town had taken such great care of them. And other planter with a trellis along a store front.... It was so hot that day, but we enjoyed our ride over there and the detour on the way home to see the mosaic wall. Be sure to click on the link and check out the studio. Visiting this tiny Alabama town was fun! Small towns have a lot to offer...if you know where to look!

Looks can be deceiving!

A friend sent this by email. I thought it would be fun to post here. By looking at a picture of a person, can you tell if he is a computer geek or serial killer?

Red Hat Society

Red Hat Society Ladies, Brandon, MS
enjoy Tony and Tina's Wedding

Have you ever been to an event and seen a group of ladies wearing purple dresses and red hats? I had the pleasure of meeting a group of these nice ladies from Brandon, MS at the Riley Center when I volunteered to work the Sat. show. They were all so nice, and really seemed to enjoy the show. Meeting them made me wonder....why do they dress that way, and exactly what is the Red Hat Society? So, I decided to Google Red Hat Society, and found that they have a pretty impressive web site. The Red Hat members are described as 'the largest sisterhood of women over 50' in the world!

Here is FAQ link that answered all my questions .
Looks like fun!

Baby Cooper

Cutie Pie!
Since I applied Categories to my posts, I realized I didn't have as many pics of Cooper in my blog posts as Connor! This shot was made last week when I kept him...he is 7 1/2 months old! We did so much that day...walked at the mall, went to the Riley Center to buy some tickets, and to Walmart. He is big enough now to sit up in the shopping cart, and notices everything that goes on with those big blue eyes of his! When we got home, he was worn out and took a LONG nap!
