Blue Monday and Soccer

Sally at Smiling Sally is hosting Blue Monday. Please visit her and the others with Blue Monday posts. You will meet so many nice bloggers while you are enjoying the color blue!

Connor spent the night with us on Friday after going to the play I posted about yesterday. We had to get up early and get to the soccer complex for his last game. He didn’t want to get dressed, so I solved the problem by bribing him-I told him I would give him a dollar to get dressed. It did the trick-he was ready in no time! His mama didn’t think it was too funny, but as a grandmother you do what you have to do. We even arrived at the game before his mom and dad!

This was Connor’s last soccer game of the season. Here he is in his blue uniform holding his 2nd soccer trophy.

Now that soccer is over, it is time for T Ball! Connor played for the first time last year, and began to really get into it just as the season ended.

Hope you have a wonderful Monday, and thanks for stopping by!

I recognized Conor's little red mop on my blogroll right away! He has grown so much since he was on your blog header a few months ago. And what a cool uniform.

I KNOW you had a great weekend with your grandkids! And you are such a briber!! ;-)

Happy BM!!!

I love the bribe, he obviously knows who will dole out the bribes and how to get them. Life lesson there I think, never do for free what someone will pay you to do? He is so adorable, I hope he has fun with Tball this summer.

Hi Diane

Connor looks liker a star! My son played soccer and baseball all through his life from 5 years old to college. It's a wonderful way to keep boys focused and busy!

I love the grandma tips --I'll remember the dollar bribe when I need Leo to do something quick!

I just want to pinch Cooper's cheeks in your header photo ... he's such a cutie!

Hugs, Pat

Hee, hee! Grandmother's prerogative! He looks darling in his soccer uniform. Actually, I should say handsome - he's probably getting too old for "darling."

Happy Blue Monday!

Diane, I posted earlier, but I just wanted to say that I will be participating tomorrow. I have to go sit with Trish and her mom tonight, so if I don't get linked, can you link me up to you? I'm going to schedule my post to go on at 9:00 p.m. Don't know what time you'll be up, but I am doing that so that I can coordinate with Tam's event. Thanks so much!
