Recently my son found this oak bookcase for a great price at an estate sale. He wanted to put it in one of his booths to make a quick sale, but I talked him in to selling it to me! The price was right….and I didn’t have to go to the hassle of getting it here…it was already here!
The piece is oak, which many people don’t really care for anymore. But I love it- It is perfect for books, collectables, and pictures. And it is a perfect fit at for the spot at the end of the sofa!
I don’t know if you can tell from the photos-but the old glass is wavy and very pretty! And I love the way it reflects light from the room especially at night!
I was in a hurry to get it filled-it needs tweaking, but for now it will do!
Thanks for stopping by…hope you will join in!

First of all could you delete number three, i messed up the link and it only takes you to my blog, not the post for your meme. Then I would like to say that I am so looking for one of those kind of bookcases. I don't care if oak is out of style. It's my favorite. I have yet to come by one that is nice enough to buy or to fix up. Lucky you and what a good eye. sorry about the link mess up. thanks.
Your bookcase is just beautiful! I am looking forward to being a participant in your Tuesday blogging party!
Hope you enjoy the old sweater mittens!
Hi Diane,
What a wonderful bookcase. I would love to find one like that.
I love your bookcase, Diane, and the pretty clock and lamp on top of it! It looks perfect in its new home.
Hi Diane, we are out of town and won't be home until late Thurs. night. I am sorry I missed your Tues. post. The bookcase is beautiful. We never have enough space for books do we? A terrific find.
I'll be back to post next week.
Hugs, Jeanne
