2nd Time Around: Accessories for the porch

Welcome to 2nd Time Around. Here’s where you can show off your second hand treasures-stuff from garage sales, estate sales, flea markets, thrift stores, estate sales etc. Just create a post and link the name of the post to Mr. Linky below.

I’m always on the lookout for second hand items that I can use to decorate my screened porch. This little set of three flower pots and wire stand was my daughter’s. She had a yard sale when they sold their first home, and I grabbed this up! It now has a new home on a bench on the back porch.July 2008 316

This little animal print birdhouse was another one of my daughter’s rejects. In her first home, they had a room that she decorated with an animal print theme. I found this bird house for her at a garage sale quite a few years ago. When they sold that home, she decided to sell all the animal print accessories. So, I bought the birdhouse from her. Guess you can say that I bought this twice! And for a cheap price both times I might add!

Hi Diane,
You should make this a linky party where people can add a link to show off their 2nd time around treasures.

Hi Diane, this is the 3rd time I came to visit. Lol. I couldn't get your comment thingy to come up or Mr. Linky either. Yay! all is well now. I love your plant holder and the bird house too. Keep your eye out for your dtr's. yard sales. Smiling here.

I loved your pink post too. Catfish Row Art Park is an interesting place. The pink is fun. I didn't get to hardly anyone on Sat. We were tied up with some Senior Games all weekend. Fun but time consuming.

Thanks for hosting 2nd Time Around Tuesdays, I enjoy doing it. Have a happy day.

Hugs...Jeanne

Thanks for the nice "welcome back" Diane! I had such a nice time in Colorado visiting my son. D-I-L and baby grandson. The time went by so quickly!

It as nice to catch up with you tonight!

I love the planter and birdhouse you bought from your daughter!

Hi Diane, I just popped over to tell you thanks for your comment on today's post. I laughed at what you said. I think I am the only one in the world who thought they were worth something. LOL. Strikers sometimes go for big prices as the collectors are willing to find something different. I haven't tried to sell them for years. I might try Ebay. who knows. I had a striker customer when I sold antiques that carried matches with her. She would strike the match and if it didn't light up she wouldn't buy the striker. What a hoot. Strikers are uncommon to find these days.

Have a good day.

Hugs...Jeanne
