2nd Time Around: Another 2nd thought purchase!

Jackson 005

Welcome to 2nd Time Around. Please join us by linking a post that features something that is a 2nd Time Around to you…something from a garage sale, flea market, thrift store, estate sale, etc. Please link your post rather than your blog, and link back to this blog. Thank you for participating.

Have you ever seen something at an estate sale or garage sale, not bought it, then decided later you wanted it? That is what happened with this oil painting I bought this weekend. At first  I thought the owner wanted too much, so I left her my number and asked her to call me if she had anything left over and was willing to take less for it. The next day she called, and I picked up a few bargains along with this pretty oil painting! She had more invested in the frame than I ended up paying, so I think I got a bargain-even though it was not cheap by garage sale prices! I haven’t got it hung yet…just propped up for the photo!

I would love to hear about your ‘2nd thought’ purchases!

Thanks for coming by and participating!

Hi Diane, I just published my post and here I am the first on Mr. Linky. That's a first...no pun intended. HA!

Thanks for your visit today and your sweet comment about my great room paint job. I do love it very much. I have posted the wall of windows some time ago when Cielo had a window blog event. Then I posted it as a makeover project recently. It is impossible to see all of anyone's posts but I am glad you came over today to see the new makeover. I hired my niece's husband to paint the highest part of the walls. I painted the rest. what a hard job it was too.

Your painting is lovely. I would have bought it too. It will be nice to see where you hang it. Or will you sell it in your mall space?

I better go to bed or I will be tired tomorrow. How are those darling grandsons doing? Growing up fast I am sure.

Hugs xoxo, Jeanne

Love that painting. I have passed on something I wish I hadn't and bought things I wish I hadn't so I guess it sorta evens out!

Diane, I love it! You can't always get the best prices for treasures like that 1. I had NO 2nd thoughts on my bunny tureen. I instantly pictured a spring breakfast for the boys when I saw it. I've gone back plenty of times for treasures. lol

I would grab some dark stain and age the painting a little bit... I think that would make it adorable!
