2nd Time Around: Garage sale frames and Halloween Decor

Welcome to 2nd Time Around. Please join us by linking a post that features something that is a 2nd Time Around to you…something from a garage sale, flea market, thrift store, estate sale, etc. Please link your post rather than your blog, and link back to this blog.

I have been really busy with a craft fair that my friend and I did this past weekend. When she asked me to do it, I wasn’t sure what I could make that people might actually buy!

One of the things that I did was go through my stash of yard sale frames and see what I could ‘repurpose’ for the craft show. I paid a total of 75 cents for the picture frames below.

For this one, I made the Happy Haunting on the computer. This scrapbook paper has a row of witch feet and hats and painted the frame black of course! This one is my personal favorite.

Of the Halloween pictures we made, this one is the only one that sold-for $3-after I marked it down. Excuse all the junk in the background. I should have cleaned off the craft table for the photo shoot! LOL

Although we sold only one Halloween picture, I did manage to sell some other stuff. 4 of the Christmas ones I made sold and also a chalkboard I made from a thrift store frame. Guess the people in our town don’t so much Halloween decorating! LOL

We did have fun, and although we certainly didn’t get rich, it was overall a great experience. And, I can use my ‘favorite’ one in my own home!

Thanks for stopping by!

I like the frames! I don't do any decorating for Halloween. When you live alone, it is sort of pointless! :)
You never know what people will or won't buy at a show. I just did one this past weekend, and I sold a lot of different things. Shutter projects seemed to be the most popular, and some spindle photo holders.
thanks for hosting!

Diane, I am going to have to hunt down some frames and put something clever in them. I never see cute frames like you found for good prices. I'm determined, though, to find some. I haven't done much thrifting in the last few months. I need to go out more!

Happy Second Time Tuesday...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Now that is smart! They all look so cute. I'm sure it's hard to know what will sell. I'm glad you sold some other items. I'm sure it ws a lot of work. laurie

Diane, I really love your collage with the witch boots! Too cute! I am so shocked that it did not sell! Your "projects" are great little re-purpose treasures! Happy Treature Tuesday!

Those are adorable! I notice folks around here don't do much decorating for Halloween...mostly fall stuff, then big-time christmas! I linked up.

Loved the frames & what a great idea to reuse those calendars that I can't seem to part with! ☺
