Welcome to 2nd Time Around. Please join us by linking a post that features something that is a 2nd Time Around to you…something from a garage sale, flea market, thrift store, estate sale, etc. Please link your post rather than your blog, and link back to this blog. Thank you for participating.
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago about Antique Alley that runs along Highway 11 from Mississippi to Virginia. The starting point is not too far from my house, and one of my friends and I had a great time traveling about 40 miles to a couple of small towns along the route. I have always wanted a chair that could be used as a planter, and I found one! This chippy little chair was just begging to come home with me! It is filled with a pot of sale flowers from Lowe’s for this photo, but will soon have something a little more showy!
Hope you will join us by linking your post.
Did any of you go to Antique Alley?

Happy day, bj
Hi Diane! I'm really loving that chair planter. I think I'm going to have to try that!
Hi Diane, I love chair planters. Great garden art. BIG smile. I have an old rocking chair in my yard. It is wicker and the seat sure is sagging. This year I will try to pick a light weight plant.
I'm sorry I couldn't join in today. My grandson graduates today and he got top billing. Smile.
Have a great day and I hope you enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend.
Love you and I am very glad you are my friend too.

That sounds like so much fun. I would love to be able to go on a trip like that. Your chair is great!
Love the chair - I really need to make one of these this year. They are so cute! Thanks for hosting - Happy I could join in the fun this week! - Stephanie Lynn
Thanks for hosting!
And who doesn't have an odd chair or two in the garage...keeps old discarded stuff out of our landfills, too! Please share this on Modern Craftswoman Monday! Rory
Diane, I love your chair and what a pretty planter it makes! You could even use it inside.
When we lived in Shreveport, I used to go to the Old Highway 80 sale between Shreveport and Tyler, Texas. You just never know what treasures you may find on trips like that.
What a beautiful, chippy chair planter! It looks so charming sitting there on your porch, great find!
Thanks for hosting, hope you had a wonderful weekend!

I love this idea and love the weathered look of the chair. I have some iron chairs that used to have rattan seats and they would be great for this! So cute!
Pretty and chippy! See you, Vikki and hopefully Kelli on Saturday, Diane....Christine
I just love the old chippy paint look on the porch or patio and the flowers just make it stand out.
I hope to be able to join you again soon.
