For Show and Tell Friday I would like to show my new Parisian Luminaries I got for half price at my recent Southern Living party. I really liked these in the catalog, and am pleased with how they added a warm glow to the sideboard.
I took this picture with the flash off so you could see the candlelight.
Here's an upclose view of one of them with the flash on. The pair came in a set of two...one taller than the other. I bought two pairs.
Here's another closeup with the flash off. The reflection in the mirror adds to the effect. I also love the way the light from the candle dances on the wall.
These little luminaries can be used for other things too...they are the perfect size for a bottle of wine. Can you think of other ways to use them? I am going to try them outside on the front steps....maybe for Halloween night!
No, I'm not a Southern Living consultant! LOL...I just booked a party in a weak moment, and you know the rest of the story!
Thanks to Kelli at There's No Place Like Home for hosting Show and Tell Friday. Be sure to visit her for other Show and Tell posts.
I'm also linking this to Julia at Hooked on Houses. She is trying out Mr. Linky and you can click her site to see other posts called Hooked on Fridays!
Thanks for stopping by!

The luminaries make love the warm glow they give to your sideboard. I wish we had Southern Living here in Ontario, but I've never heard of it before.
Enjoyed my visit.
Blessings,
Mary
Diane,
Your luminaries are absolutely gorgeous!!! I love the shadows the candles inside create!!
Jan
Love the candle lighting. I think it is cool that they can be used for other things too!
What a soft beautiful glow they add....and they're very classy and multifunctional! A great buy anyway you look at it!
Very warm and cozy! Love them!
Dianne
So beautiful! Warm, cozy and inviting.
So, cozy!!!!!
They are so pretty, I have not seen a Southern Living catlog, in a year or so. I bought several pieces, but gave to my daughters. Yours must be a new item. I love it.
I love the cozy atmosphere created by candles and luminaries. So homey and welcoming.
Hi Diane...Great designer look with the foursome...candle light is hard to beat for adding atmosphere. So pretty. ;-) Bo
These are very very pretty. You did a great job photographing them too.
I took a look at the next post about your little Cooper. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed looking at his adorable photos. How can you stand it...he's a little jewel! Aren't grandchildren the most wonderful gifts in the world? : )
hello there - over from Julia's Hooked on Friday gig ...
These wee lights look divine .. what a great presence from something so small in volumn ...
lovely cheers le
These are lovely, and the reflections in the mirror add to the effect. Thanks for sharing.
How very pretty! I've never been to a Southern Living party, though I have seen the catalog. You have very nice taste! I like the photos you took with the flash off. Just lovely!

I love this....ALL of the decor. What a wonderful, romantic atmosphere they cast.
Stop by my show and tell when you have time, I'd love to have you visit with me this fine day. Happy weekend to you!!!
Diane, the luminaries are lovely on your sideboard. I do love the glow too. The nice thing about them is they are enclosed and safer. I have been to one of this home parties and they do have lovely things. have a happy day.
Hugs...Jeanne
Morning girl..I love the last pic...the effect is beautiful...Those are great pieces! I see Little Cooper turned 1...Happy Birthday to that sweet child...have a beautiful weekend girl!
Good Morning..
I had never heard of that company but I sure do like the luminaries. That gives off such a soft, lovely amount of light. I bet it does dance on the walls nicely. How lovely to sit there just quietly watching it in the evening...candles are so soothing...
Thank you for sharing.
Have a great day!
Judi
Come by my blog today I'm having a giveaway.
Good Morning Diane ~ Those are lovely...the light is wonderful and cozy. Love SL.
Happy Friday!
Smiles ~ Ramona
I'm thinking that luminaries are fake candles that work on batteries--right? If so, I have some and enjoy watching the light flicker. I don't have to worry about the house catching fire when my husband leaves one "burning" when he leaves the room.
Morning, Diane! Oh, these are just gorgoues and lend such a beautiful glow to your home!!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Oh pretty!!! I love them.
Hi Diane, your pic is beautiful. I like those .
How pretty! I've been to Southern Living parties and really like their stuff. It's not exactly cheap, though, so I'm jealous that you got these for half off!
Thanks for joining the blog party today!! -Julia :-)
Oh, I really like those. I have a nice mason jar tart warmer that's similar.
These are beautiful, Diane. I love how the light plays on the wall, etc.
I've been seeing a lot of things like that at little restaurants here in Berlin. I just moved here (and started blogging), and I love how the dining experience is multiplied by them. It must be magical having them in your OWN HOUSE!
Katie
I can see why you are hooked on these luminaries...they are beautiful! Isn't Southern Living wonderful?!
Hi Diane
I hooked onto Julia's blog too -- I wish I could take part in her open house tour next week but we'll be away at the baby shower.
Your luminaries look so pretty! How could you resist them at half price?
Hugs, Pat
Those cast such a pretty glow! I've never been to a Southern Living party - those are great pieces!
Manuela
If you got what you wanted out of it, then the party was worth it, wasn't it? This are so pretty! I, too, love how flames dance through cut-out designs!!! Your display is very festive!
I really like these - Southern Living stuff is *the* best, isn't it? :)
I am a SlaHOME consultant, and I'm glad to know you love your luminaries. I love them, too! Another thing you can do with them is line them with vellum and use the battery operated tea lights or candles...they lower your light the more the colored paper will show up. I did it with orange for a recent party and it was oh.so.pretty! You'd have to use the no fire option, though!! ;)
Suzanne
you might check out some older posts on my blog for different ideas for other products you might have! thanks!
Morning Diane! Beautiful!!! Thanks for the photo tip too!lol You are right they do have other possibilities (just can't think right now!lol) Have a great weekend - Jeannette

These are beautiful and I love the shot where they are reflected in the mirror.
I love the glow the luminaries add to the room. They are wonderful. Have a great week.
They're just beautiful. I like best the shapes they throw around the room.
Nancy
What beautiful luminaries - they really set the mood don't they? I'm thinking they can also be the base (or kind of a vase) for small topiaries.....thanks for sharing!
In my line of work it is all about the candle glow...that is a beautiful display...very warm and cozy! Love it!
Warm Regards,
Susie
Your luminaries are so pretty, Diane! They cast such a lovely glow in your home!
