Susan at A Southern Daydreamer is hosting Outdoor Wednesday. Please visit her for lots of outdoor inspiration. Thanks so much Susan for being our hostess.
Spring is one of my favorite times of the year. In the south we have lots of plants and trees that bloom only in the spring. I look forward to the show these plants put on each year. This is one of my favorites-a dogwood.
Thanks for dropping by today. Please leave me a comment and tell me your favorite spring flower!
Diane

Your dogwood is lovely; we don't see a lot of them here. One of my favs for spring is narcissus; showy and heavily perfumed.
Hi Diane,
Those sure are pretty! I love Dogwood.
I can't wait for Spring to sprung..or something like that ;)
Oh so beautiful! I love Dogwoods and your Lady Banks Rose is so lovely! Happy O.W.!
Diane,
I'm not too familiar with rose bushes because I can't grow them with all the shade I have, but your Lady Banks looks perfect by your driveway.
I have a Red Twig Dogwood in my backyard that will be blooming next month. I love to bring a few branches in to put in a vase. The fragrance is wonderful and the white flowers just gorgeous!!
I would have to say that tulips and daffodils are my favorites. It is too cold to be outside any earlier for anything else!!
xoxo

What a perfect Outdoor Wednesday post! Your pictures are breathtaking, Diane!
Tulips, daffodils, and crocuses are my favorite spring flowers.
Hello there! Your blog banner is spectatular! Spring always makes me thing forsythia....
Lovely flowering trees! My fave Spring blooms are anything purple! Pansies, petunias, tulips, iris. As long as it is purple colored, I'd love it in Spring! :-)
I love Dogwood...we don't have that around here. The flowers are just so pretty!

Love your blooms. I'm so glad you posted your lady banks rose. I posted a small picture of mine today, but we will have to cut it down and move it soon because it is climbing on the house. I thought we would have to have a trellis, but *love* how yours is sprawled on the ground. Yay!
My favorite is probably forsythia.
I bought a Lady Banks a year ago. It's very lush with leaves. But no blooms yet!
Brenda
I love the dogwood tree...I saw a pink one in bloom today on the way home...beautiful!! Have you planted yours yet?
Oh, that South of the Border place has some pretty wrought iron trellis' for sale. They are decently priced too. I bet your Southern Living piece would be pretty too with the Lady Banks Rose planted in front of it!!
Diane I love seeing the dogwoods in full bloom..mine is loaded with buds and will be snow white in a few days....I planted a ladybank rose when we first move here and I kept it cut back into a round bush...it kept growing so big...I finally had Bill dig it up but I would love to have another one in a different area..I saw my first red rose bloom today on one of my knockout rose bushes...ohhhh you know I was squealing! lol lol Happy Outdoor Wednesday girl!
Nothing growing here as yet, Diane so I enjoyed looking at your pretty Spring flowers!
Happy April 1st!
Hugs, Pat
Over here the top spring flower is the bluebonnet, with a touch of Indian paintbrush dropped in for effect.
Hey Diane..
Our Dogwoods are just now starting to open.. Beautiful Lady Banks, I've never seen those before. THanks for sharing.
Debbie
I am loving Dogwoods from all the blossoms I have seen today! They are so gorgeous!
You Lady banks is pretty also. These are plants I do not see grow in Utah. I am glad to see others dig up and take with them their beloved plants. I sure did....:)

Agreed dogwoods are just lovely! We had a few inches of snow in Illinois, then a rainstorm and so I am so happy to see your beautiful spring blooms.
Joyce
I love your Lady Banks rose, Diane. It is such a graceful and elegant looking plant.
I have so many "favorite" flowers it would be hard to come up with just one, but dogwood and narcissus would be top contenders.
Hope you have a good Thursday. We're supposed to get some thunderstorms today which will probably be coming your way, too.
Take care ...
Janie
I think you took the spring weather back with you from NYC because it's been cold here ever since. ;-) Hopefully we'll get some pretty blooms at the shore house SOON! 'Til then, I'll enjoy yours.
