Anitque Shop Inspiration

Sally of Smiling Sally is hosting Blue Monday. Please visit her for lots of Blue Inspiration! You will meet some really nice blogging buddies!

It seems that I have a 'blogging block.' I haven't had too many of these since I usually have lots I want to blog about!

So, I looked in my 'antiques' folder and thought I would take us on a short window shopping trip of an antique store in Birmingham!

Antique shops are great places to get art. I really loved this oil painting of sunflowers. I think the price was $75.00. Be sure to notice the blue vase!

This same shop in Cahaba Heights had lots of gardening decor. I really have a thing about birdhouses. These are so cute painted in the beachy looking colors! Can't wait til warmer weather!

I really love the way this piece was painted black with a dark red on the interior. I have a cabinet that I bought way back....I'm still thinking about giving it a paint job!

I am going to have to go 'antiquing' again. The photos that I have taken while doing this are fun to go back through. I like to take pictures of things that catch my eye so I can thing about how I can use them here!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Blue Monday!

Diane, I love the sunflower painting, and $75.00 sounds very reasonable for it.

I love the birdhouses, too, and am always looking for new ones for the fence in our backyard.

I enjoyed your shopping trip.

Absolutely Diane...antiquing is such an inspiration to Tom and I, too! Everything that we're using for lamps, tables and ART...plus another few odds and ends, in my re-decorating, has come from our Antiquing trips.

Some lovely photos, there.

I really enjoyed seeing these pictures of your visit to the antique shop. I know the feeling about "blogging blocks"....I have them at times.

Love these shopping trips...I wouldn't see these things otherwise because for some reason when I am the one out looking I don't see much of anything!

I just went antiquing last weekend. It was so fun. I bought a couple of pieces. Antiques are expensive though...I had no idea. I may stick with yard selling. :-)
