Hungry Girl!

Do you know about the Hungry Girl website and book? If you don't, and are like most of us-trying to watch calories-check it out!

You can sign up for their newsletter which comes 5 days a week. It is the one email that I've signed up for that I try to always read! (and the one from Dirt Cheap. LOL)

The website reviews different foods that are good choices, and also has recipes. I think you'll like it!

Go to hungrygirl.com to see for yourself!

I stepped on the scales a couple of days ago at my weight loss group, and was a little shocked! I knew I had added a few pounds and haven't been feeling 100%, but I didn't expect it to be as bad as it was! So...I'm going to have to make some lifestyle changes. Exercise more and eat less!

I've already started walking, and plan to get back into aerobics 3 times a week, and plan to start a yoga class 3 days a week. Hopefully the variety will help keep me motivated!

So if you have any weight loss tips leave me a comment!

I admire your commitment to lose some weight, Diane. I literally hate to exercise, but plan to get more exercise during my photo shoot adventures. Hopefully, walking and climbing hills and lugging my camera and stuff along with me will help.

Good luck to you with your plans.

Sincerely,

Janie

Good luck with the weight loss. So many of us have that New Year's resolution, maybe we can be a support group to each other!

I've been getting the HG newsletter for a couple of years now. It doesn't come so often anymore. I'm going to recheck it to make sure I get it.

Just keep moving, Diane...I think that's the most important part! You will do just great...I believe in you! Keep your chin up and keep the faith!

Sounds like you are on the right track. You are smart to mix up your workouts...I have worked with a trainer for a year and feel like I have hit a wall so I am looking at other options. Good Luck!

I, too, am getting back into the exercise/eating better routine. I purchased 'The Biggest Loser Yoga' DVD and implemented our first family yoga night on Tuesday. Our 7 year son did yoga with both my husband and I and loved it so much we're repeating this evening. I never thought involving the family could be so much fun.

Thanks for the link!! I'm going to check it out. My only advice? Portions, portions, portions. I think we tend to eat too much at meals. I was hungry for a solid two weeks after regulating my portion size (that sounds so rigid!) but I've adjusted! Good luck to you!

Diane, I have a Health and Fitness Blog that I have started posting to daily. I do not have time to write and post a book everyday, but I try to post a bit of info every single day now. (I had stopped several months ago, I did not think anyone was reading it, gals at church wanted me to make it private, and a stuff, etc) but some fellow bloggers posted to my daily blog and emailed me to encouraged me to start it back up. I can't remember the addy, but you can get there thru my profile.

I have been trying to lose weight also...I dropped 10 lbs since Nov 8 and want to lose 20 more. Increasing my protein has helped tremendously with cravings and a handfull of raw almonds staves off hunger pains. Also, writing down everything I eat daily really keeps me on track. (Ihave to get back to that now that the holidays are over.) Now if I could only start exercising!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'll be sharing some of my low cal recipes on my blog. WOuld love to hear what helps you also. Mary
