Here's another one of my one half price items from my Southern Living at Home party.
This pedestal is called the Barley Twist pedestal. This is actually the first time I've used it. Pictured here it has a multi-wick large candle in vanilla with red berries around the outside.
I'm really nearly brain dead as I write this post. Can you blogging ladies make some suggestions for other ways to use this pedestal? Do any of you have this piece?
I really like it-I just can't come up with much else to do with it!

Personally, Diane, I love it just as it is. Simple, yet elegant.
You are asking the wrong person here for decorating ideas! I think it looks beautiful the way you have it. I love the look of the berries with the candle.
take care,
Dawn
I LOVE it with the candle but it looks like you could put any thing you might want to display up on the pedestal or something on the pedestal with a cloche over it.
I looks to me like you could use it as a cake plate--maybe with a doily under a Christmas cake.
Or to hold a famous Blogland Cloche!
Very pretty...use as a serving dish???

I like how you used it!
Hi Diane
Thats a very nice piece! I wonder whether you could put a cloche on it and change the theme with the season?
You certainly have a lot of lovely pieces from that party....
have a lovely day

Morning, Diane! It's beautiful! I have a suggestion - you could give it to me! lol
Be a sweetie,
shelia ;)
GM Diane...would a cloche fit on top of it?? I also like it the way you have it..just a thought...hope you have a great day...hugs and smiles Gloria
It's quiet lovely the way you have it...I agree with the cloche idea...*smiles*
I am a candle freak, so I think using to hold a candle is PERFECT! You can always change the trim and candle to fit the current season.
Your pedestal is beautiful and looks very nice the way you're using it. xoxo
It looks like a piece that a cloche would fit perfectly on...and being able to change out the displays underneath with the seasons/holidays would be fun.
Also, at Halloween I can see it with a big pumpkin sitting right on top of it.
I like it a lot, Diane!
XO,
Sheila
It looks perfect the way it is Diane! I like to lay wreaths on my tables and put candles in the middle, so maybe you could try that if you want to accentuate it a little?
Hugs, Pat
You can't go wrong with a candle...and you can always change the color and the little decorations around it for every season. It really is a nice piece!
Diane, I think it's fabulous just the way it is!
Hey Diane; I really love the candle with the berries around it. I must admit I agree with the cloche idea, or a part time cake plate, or use a bowl to put in some pine cones berries, vintage ornaments for Christmas and a small Christmas tree would look lovely up there too. Hope I helped some... Merry Christmas.
Hugs;
Alaura
Oh, that is sooooo pretty!

My first thought was a cake. But could it hold some yarn and knitting needles for a cozy winter scape?

Diane, thank you so much for the cyber-hug. I needed it today. I keep thinking I have to take care of my Babette. she has been failing lately and couldn't even go up and down the two steps to go out side. She had a seizure and it was just humane to not let her suffer anymore.
Today my sisters were here for Christmas cookie day. It was a good distraction. Now in the evening is when I am missing her so much. I know you know how it is to lose a pet so loved and a part of the family. We will not get another dog for now.
I like your candle in the stand. It is very pretty. Your brain will probably perk up after the holidays. Smile.
Love, Jeanne
This is a very pretty candle stand Diane. LOL about being brain dead--I can relate. Please show us how you decide to use it after Christmas.
HOW DID I MISS THIS.I LOVE IT.THE BERRIES REALLY PERK IT UP.DON'T CHANGE A THING...ANN
Fill it with some ornaments or place a christmas figure on it with "snow!"
I have this piece too and would love other suggestions. I have faux pears and apples on mine during most of the year and at Christmas I do something very similar to your candle and berries.
