A Pink Project

Beverly of How Sweet the Sound is hosting Pink Saturday. Please visit her blog for more Pink Saturday posts.
Do you know where these pink houses are located?
Here's a view of them at night....
The pink houses are part of the Make it Right Foundation started by Brad Pitt in New Orleans, LA. Each time a new home is finished for a hurricane Katrina victim, one of the temporary pink homes comes down.
You can read more about the Pink Project here.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have a home in New Orleans in the French Quarter near the French Market. We have always walked by their home to see if we would get lucky and spot them. Click here to see a picture.

I think it's great that they have done so much to help the people of this city!

Thanks for coming by and Happy Pink Saturday!

Now THAT is a great PINK Sat post, Diane! I had not heard of that!
I loved the story about the honest guy and the tip---good to know.
Your table setting looked so beautiful on Christmas Eve! I was so busy flitting around the house on Christmas Eve I forgot (gasp!) to take photos!
Your mercury glass items were true finds--those trees look verrrry similar to ones I show on my post today! :)
Happy Pink Sat and Happy New Year!!!! Dana

Hi Diane, what a great post for today! I commend Brad Pitt for his efforts. My cousin's daughter (my second cousin) biked with two friends from St. Paul, MN to New Orleans to work for Habitat for Humanity. She was so overtaken with what they encountered and she said it was hard to leave in the fall to return back to school (UofMN) because the need is still so great....Robyn

Hi, Diane--what an uplifting Pink Saturday. I grew up in New Orleans (my father was a manager for the Morgan & Lindsay dime store chain), and it cheers my soul to see New Orleans being put back together.

I had never heard of this until now! What a unique idea! That was a great choice for Pink Saturday! Thanks for the information. Our area was hit by Hurricane Charley and there are still so many houses not rebuilt! It takes years!
Have a great new year!

That is very cool! I had heard about this on the Today show, but never saw all the pink tents. It is good to know that some people with money have their hearts in the right place.
