Tuesday night I hosted an informal bridal shower for a young lady that will be getting married on February 14th. Her mom is one of my teacher friends, and I volunteered to host the shower here since I am the only one not working now!
Everyone else prepared the food...my only job was to clean the house and prepare the table.
So for Tablescape Thursday, I thought I would show you the table. I didn't put the leaf in the round table because I didn't have a tablecloth that matched her colors...red and white. All of my red tablecloths were too 'Christmasy.' I tried white, but wasn't satisfied with the look, so left the table bare.
For the center, I placed red roses in a cut glass vase that I bought from an estate sale. I place everything on square mirrors that I picked up from a garage sale this past summer.
I used punch cups filled with water and floating candles around the vase. The ring of tiny roses and white babies breath surrounding the cup came from Dollar Tree.
I found these little mercury glass votives at Cracker Barrel on sale, and alternated these between the punch cups.
And here is the picture of the table after the food was placed.
We all had a wonderful time catching up and visiting!
