Deborah at Pictures Pots and Pens is hosting Family Fotos Friday.
Yesterday was Connor's first day in Kindergarten. And of course I had to get up at the crack of dawn and drive across the county to go with Kelli to take him. I just had to have my own pictures of him on the first day! I wouldn't have missed it!
He was so excited. Right before we got there he asked me, "Mimi, now what is my teacher's name?" Then we walked in, he greeted her by calling her name!
I think that shows that Connor is 'people smart'. He knows that calling someone by their name is being more personable.
Here are the three photos I took:
He didn't cry, or even act like he thought about crying! But I got a little teary eyed after we left him. He has been with me for the past two weeks between pre k classes and kindergarten, and I am going to miss him!
If you want to see Kelli's pictures, she has some more on her blog Sassy Southern Mom
Thanks Deborah, and please click here to go back for a list of those with family foto posts.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

What a big boy, he looks like he it all ready for Kindergarten!!! I love his hair!!
Awwww, Diane ... I know that was so hard for you and Kelli, but Connor seems to be a well-adjusted and outgoing little boy and that's a good thing.
I hope you have a good day today and a nice weekend.
Sincerely,
Janie
Diane, I think it is a contest between you and Beverly as to who comments first in the morning.smile.
I love Connor's photos of his first school day. It so cute that he wanted to know his teacher's name. But then, he is cute. :)
Love ya, Jeanne
Very cute boy! My son, Monkey, will be going to kindergarten this year. I blogged about it yesterday, as a matter of fact. Love your blog. Come back and visit me sometime.
That is just a perfect topic for a picture today. He is so darn cute. What a polite sounding young man as well. Even though I teach kindergarten when Tim started (and I could see into his classroom from my classroom door) I still got teary eyed sending him off.
Let us know how he likes school? Does he go full day or half day?
take care,
Dawn
Your blog was delightful. My grandson, Connor, will be in 10th grade this year, but school starting is still exciting. Thanks for sharing your life. School doesn't start until Aug.18, but I'll blog about it. later...
So So cute and such a monumental day! Love it!
Diane...he's absolutely adorable!
Thanks for the tips with plants and flowers. I just can't get anything to grow, either I water too much, or not enough..lol.
Hugz,
Michele
He look so happy. I know how you felt. I cried when our first grandchild went off to kindergarten. They seem so little to be sent out into the world.
Thank you for sharing these photos that will bring back precious memories later.
Hugs,
Deborah
What a little "people person" he is...so very smart to want to be able to call the teacher by name. He is destined for big things for sure!
AWWW how sweet!!! He is so adorable!
Have a great Friday!!!
Hugs!
Kim
Happy kindergarten days Connor!
He looks adorable, Diane. Your family must be so proud!
Hugs, Pat
I just adore his red hair! He is so cute. And tell him that it will always draw the ladies in to remember their name when addressing them! He's going to break a lot of hearts, that one!
