I am so ready for spring!
It's raining here today, but we had a beautiful day here Sunday...there were so many people out walking, hiking and horseback riding at a local park. My friend Beth and I walked for over an hour! I know we have lots more wintery weather in store, but the beautiful day was just a promise of things to come!
Today is Blue Monday at Smiling Sally's Blog. So, here's some pretty blue flowers to feast your eyes upon! Do any of you gardeners happen to know what these are called?Visit Sally for lots more blue posts and to meet lots of friendly bloggers!
Later today I'll post the winner of the garden tools give away on my Pink Saturday post. If you haven't commented yet, and would like your name in the drawing, please leave me a comment. Tomorrow will be Trash to Treasure, so if you have something someone else rejected that you have made work for you, create a post and link it on Trash to Treasure!
Thanks for stopping by!

Could they be Blue Delphinium; White Iris Designs shows some today. In any case, they're gorgeous! Thanks for sharing. Happy Blue Monday!
I think they might be larkspur. I love them!!! delphiniums and larkspur are my favorites.

I am not a gardner so in my world they would be the pretty blue flowers.

What gorgeous flowers. I'm not sure what they are but I love that color!
Diane, my guess is that those flowers are delphiniums. They are wonderful in arrangements. That is a gorgeous picture of them, too. They are lovely in bloom. Wish my thumb were greener so that I could plant them. There is also another plant that looks similar to delphinium (I have some in white and purple) that I put out in the front beds in St. A. (very heat tolerant), but I can't recall the name. I've only seen delphinium in arrangements, and they add just the right pop of blue! If these are they, then I'm glad I finally got to see them in bloom! :-)
I plan on joining you tomorrow for Trash to Treasure. I worked on my post last night and got it mostly ready. Got to tweak it later today. ;-)
Have a very Happy Blue Monday!
XO,
Sheila :-)
I have seen them, but no idea what they are called. Yesterday was a beautiful day in South MS!! I think it is suppose to start clearing out of here this afternoon. Lee Laurie from A Southern Rose told me about your blog. We have a Japenese Magnolia in the backyard that has started blooming.
Beautiful! I can't wait until spring to see flowers...I am really getting the in house cold winter blues!

Whatever they are...they sure do look pretty..and are welcome in my yard SOON!!!
Those flowers are just just the prettiest color blue. They look like delphinium but I don't think they grow in patch like that. Blue bonnet?

Aw shucks Diane...I wanted to see more of the boys decked out in blue...they are so adorable...
maybe, next week for them in blue!
Smiles, ;-) Bo
Whatever the name really is, they are gorgeous. :)
Diane,
Happy that you are having good weather! The blue flowers are gorgeous, if they aren't delphiniums as everyone guesses, we have something similar that grows by our lake called purple loose strife. It grows wild and is almost blue like your picture!
Happy BM :-)
xoxo
