Deborah at Pictures Pens and Pots is hosting Family Fotos on Friday.
This series of four pictures shows the day Connor got his first haircut. He was 2 years old and it was near Christmas on a Saturday afternoon. He didn't have much hair for so long, but when it finally started growing, it got long quick!
The entire time he was in the chair, he cried! We have it on video too...but hardly ever watch it! 20 minutes of wailing is hard to take. Guess we could mute the TV. LOL
You would have thought that we were being so mean to him from the expressions on his face! I love to show him these pictures! Maybe he'll look at my blog today!
And finally when it was all over....we told him how handsome he looked!
I think Cooper will need a haircut at a much younger age. We are kinda dreading his first haircut-we may just have to live with the curls a little longer! Thanks for stopping by and please visit Deborah for more Family Fotos~

This is a fun one Diane! Connor survived even though he wasn't very happy! We have friends whose son cried so hard every time he went to get his haircut that they bought a clipper and give him a buzz cut at home! One of them holds onto him tight and the other one cuts!
Aaaww...this is so sweet and it brings back memories of my grandson's first haircut...he cried too. ;-) Bo
This post was priceless. And both are adorable. Which I had eyes like Cooper. LOL
Hugs,
Chris
That is funny....he probably thought he was being tortured just cause he had to sit kind of still...lol
That first haircut always seems so traumatic! I think Connor looks very handsome after his hair cut. I remember Tim's first hair cut. I believed I cried as well. He didn't look like my baby any more.
take care,
Dawn
Ohhh that brings back memories...when our oldest Burly boy was just 16 months old his hair was so long down on his shoulders and everyone thought he was a girl...daddy couldn't take it any longer...he said he could stand his grandson to be called a girl by strangers and either he gets a haircut or he was going to buy a dress to put on him! lol lol The haircut went great...I was the one crying! lol lol
Diane your post is so priceless. Why do little ones get so frightened when they get a haircut for the first time?
Conner looks so cute after all that crying. LOL. My favorite is the two of them in the last photo. Those little boys are way too pretty to be boys. People used to say that about my boys too. I can assure you they were all boy, just like Connor and Cooper.
Love...Jeanne
I can never understand why little boys carry on as if they're being tortured the first hair cut. Maybe if his mother cuts a couple of strands from Cooper's face, he'll understand that it doesn't hurt and trust the barber.
How cute is that ! I cried when both of my babies got haircuts. To me they didn't look like a baby as much after the cut. They were my little men after that first haircut.
Good Morning, Diane! What a precious memory and picture! My kids were about grown when they finally got enough hair for their first haircuts, that they weren't that scared! LOL! I enjoy the pictures you share of Cooper and Conner...they always make me smile! :) ~Rhonda
Hi!
Those are awesome photos you have! I remember my son's first haircut. But didn't have a camera at the time. Take Care!!
Sherrie
I love seeing your pictures of Conner...I think he's a boy after my own heart because he's a redhead like me.
Priceless pictures that he will love seeing when he's all grown up.
Yup, Little One might need a haircut pretty soon!!
Hugs,
Deborah
Oh, how I love, love, love that red hair, Diane! Precious. Thanks for sharing these great pictures.
Happy Friday!
Sheila
Oh, Diane, you've done it again...you're making me jealous I have no grandchildren. Conner is so cute crying his little heart out! Those babies are just adorable.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :0
Awwwwwwwwwwww, poor little guy!!! Cute pix of him, though.
Cute pictures. I remember my son's first haircut. He was none too happy.
The cuteness (even with tears!) is too much for me to handle! Soooooo cute. Cooper looks like a little rock star so I think he'll be fine. :-)
Oh what a darling he is! Bless his heart. I'll never forget my Austin's first haircut. It really was a milestone!
Diane,
Those pictures are adorable. They bring back mememories of my own children and grandchildren.

This is a sweet post, Diane!
Diane I loved this! I remember my son enjoyed his first haircut because his uncle is a barber and he trusted him not to hurt him.
Hugs, Pat
