Pink Shoes!

I made this pics in San Antonio 2 weeks ago at the Texas Folklife and Heritage Festival. In the museum, there is a display of shoes from famous Texans. Naturally the pink ones caught my eye!

This first pair of boots belongs to Heloise. Remember her hints? Does she still write a column for newspapers? This second pink pair belonged to Mary Kay of Mary Kay cosmetics. The shoes have a label inside with her name on it. Remember the pink Cadillac she drove?
I also saw shoes from other famous Texans such as George Strait...but they weren't pink, so they didn't make it to this post! It's funny how I am noticing pink everywhere.

Thanks to Beverly at hosting Pink Saturday.

Happy Pink Saturday!

I don't think I've ever seen pink boots like that! Yes, I remember Helosie. I am having a block right now...who was her mother??? Didn't she take over a helpful hint column from her mother?

take care,

What a fun exhibit!!! I love the pink shoes. Of course, Mary Kay would have to have pink shoes.

Happy Pink Saturday and Happy Birthday to your daughter.

Pink is my new favorite color. I just bought brown luggage with pink polka-dots and a pink cell phone! I'd wear Mary Kay's shoes (well actually I'm a big girl so I'd probably break an ankle or fall off :) Nice blog. Come on by mine for a visit! God Bless, Celene

Cute post! Heloise is still writing for Goodhousekeeping every month. She's on Pg. 32 of July issue.

Hi Diane! Love pink anything but I would never dare put pink shoes on my size 12 foot!!!lol I remember both Heloise and Mary Kay. Heloise is the reason I decided I wouldn't color my hair when it starts turning grey! I wouldn't drive a pink car either I guess but I wish I thought of a business like Mary Kay's!!! Cute post Did you pick up a pair of pink shoes for yourself while there??? Have a great Monday - Jeannette

Thank you for visiting my blog. I love to here you are an Mississippi girl. Yes, I would love for you to visit me...and I will visit you. I am adding you and your daughter on my blog list. I'm just so excited! Love the post about the pink shoes. I knew that Mary Kay had a pink cadillac but did not know about the shoes. Your daughter and grandsons are precious. You have a great week.
